"My ideal day would follow with a bike ride on Lambert’s Cove Road, and maybe stopping at Ice House pond for a quick swim to cool off. Then off to Clam Cove with the family for a sail out in Menemsha pond, the most beautiful place on earth."

Natalie Salzman

"A breakfast sandwich (with the works) at The Scottish Bakehouse, heading to Great Rock Bight for some sun and swimming, a quick stop at the Jaws Bridge for a couple jumps, any of the pesto dishes from Sweet Life Cafe for dinner, all washed down with a late night swim in the ocean."

Ben Martin

"Clamming with my family in the morning, grilling with friends on the beach, then beers at The Lookout."

Hannah Marlin

Things to See & Do

Life, for some, may be all about the beach. But remember, there is a wealth of things to do inland on Martha’s Vineyard…

The options for catching a flick on Martha’s Vineyard stretch way beyond the latest blockbusters.

Music & Performance

Martha’s Vineyard may be a small Island, but it attracts big talent. There’s such a pool of show-biz folks here, that even the off-season school productions are impressive.

For Kids

The beach is a pretty safe bet for kids of all ages, but there are plenty of other kid-friendly activities on MV.

Boating & Watersports

With so much and such varied coast line, and predictably great winds, opportunities to get out on (or above) the water abound.

On Martha’s Vineyard there really is a beach for everyone. The varying coastline offers good surf on the south coast; safer family beaches on the east; and picturesque, calm surf on the northwest.

Every year, it seems, there are more farms on the Vineyard. By our last count we’re up to thirty-eight.

Trails & Tours

There are, at last count, some 115 parcels of conserved land on Martha’s Vineyard, constituting more than 13,000 acres.
