Getting there: From Vineyard Haven, take a right from State Road onto the Lambert’s Cove Road. Take the first right onto Northern Pines Road. Follow Northern Pines Road past the Thompson Farm, and then take a left onto Army Road (watch for Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation signs). Later in 2009 trailhead parking will be available on the left side of Army Road. To exit from the trailhead, take a left onto Army Road, and then take a left onto the Road to Chappaquonsett, which will lead you to Northern Pines Road. Both Army Road and the Road to Chappaquonsett are one-way.
