When you visit the Vineyard Artisan Festivals you are in for a unique experience which is not duplicated anywhere else on Martha’s Vineyard. We are the only group that is made up of Island Artisans who live and work here.
All the art is hand-made exclusively by the Artists who are happy to meet you and explain the manner in which each piece was made. Imagine entering the hall and talking to Carol Tripp who raises sheep and, after the wool is cleaned, spins it in front of you. She then weaves it into shawls, blankets, scarves, hats… the list goes on. Or you can meet Lisa Strachan, who creates the most unique fine porcelain ceramics. Whether it’s hand-made jewelry or hand-forged iron brackets, the Vineyard Artisan Festivals is a must if you’re looking for a true piece of Island hand-made art.
Enjoy lunch provided by Chesca’s, an Island favorite, while meandering though the historic Grange Hall.
Plenty of parking, free admission, rain or shine. Visit our web sight for dates, times, and places.
Since 1995 the mission of the Vineyard Artisans Festivals is to promote Island Art & Craft. It is a link between the Island community and the Arts, providing an opportunity for both new and established Island artisans to show and sell their work.
